  ok so i send my father a letter telling him several reasons i do not believe the witnesses are jehovah's organization.i also told my father at the end of the letter that i was setting some boundaries once and for all.

  that i would not be emotionally blackmailed or verbally abused anymore that if he wanted to talk to me as a father then i welcome that and if he can't do that then i do not wish to comunicate with him.

  i sent it about a week ago and was waiting for all hell to break loose but nothing happend.

  Very good response to your sister. She wanted your unsubstantiated (no proof sited) answers and you demanded same from her. Good girl! A friend of mine told me that I wanted proof JW's were wrong, but that I had no proof they were right. Wow! I wish you the best. I would try a snow job on dad and melt honey all over him while telling him your reasons. Dripping honey loaded love all over my dad always worked for me and made my dad respect my decisions. Burning bridges with ultimatums is kinda dangerous.

  Good point! So, what was the point of Jesus dying for everyone if we die? It's a 2 for 1 offer to...God??? Paganism and reincarnation make so much more sense than Christianity. No offense to the Christians here. I like everyone

  the heat index here in orlando is currently 105 degrees, but being the bull dog type i am, insist on mowing in this heat.

  it will take me another 2 days to trim out, and get any stray stuff done like brown palm fronds etc.

  this is my 3rd break on the first day, my face is bright red and am sweating like someone in a gym.. i find great joy in a beautiful lawn, nicely trimmed out, beautiful trees and flowers etc.. on the other hand i am mowing in my light short cotton nightgown which looks like a pretty t-shirt but is lighter weight with a pair of jeans.....my husband is cracking up!

  I have noticed a culture gap between the Brittish and Americans concerning the word "bums." I don't think we are talking about asses here.

  If you mean on the street pan handlers who really look like they are homeless and hungry, then I feel for them. I was homeless twice and it isn't a good way to be. I have two friends who were approached by a homeless couple and instead of giving money, they went to a convenience store across the street and bought a bunch of food/snacks for them. That is the best way to help people on the streets. Shelters don't feed people enough. These people are really hungry. I don't give money out because I don't believe in supporting bad habits. I will give food to them, though.

  Oakies??? I suppose you never read "The Grapes of Wrath." Nice thing to call people who happen to live in the mid-west. It's an offensive term.

  Here, in the Mid-Atlantic region, it is about 1/2 white and 1/2 black. The two don't mix much for activities outside the congregation like small get togethers. I detected a little bit of segregation here but didn't feel any annimosity between the two. Interesting question.

  Searching God's word and Christian publications. That means what it says: only the NWT and WT and A! bound volumes. But, can't falsity be uncovered using just these things? It gave no room for historical documents or any other sources. This will not change. Don't go beyond the publications.

  And don't forget that Sarah called Abraham "my lord" but it was never mentioned if he called her "my queen." Should be both ways.
